A brake system for a vehicle may include at least two hydraulic brake circuits, each having at least one hydraulically acting wheel brake, at least two pressure supply devices, each of which is driven by an electromotive drive, at least one valve assembly having valves for the wheel-individual adjustment of brake pressures and/or for separating the wheel brakes from, or connecting same to, a pressure supply device, at least one electronic control and regulating unit, one of which is a superordinate central control unit that controls individual control and regulating units of the components of the brake system, as well as at least one additional electric drive motor for at least one axle or wheel of the vehicle. The brake system may use the at least one pressure supply device and/or the at least one electric drive motor for controlling pressure in at least one wheel brake for steering interventions.

A driving dynamics system for a vehicle may include a primary control unit for detecting and/or generating steering commands and braking commands; a brake system having first and second electrohydraulic pressure supply units; four hydraulically actuable wheel brakes of respective wheels; electrically actuable brake pressure adjustment valves; and an electric steering actuator for actuating at least one axle. The driving dynamics system may implement a steering command during normal operation to actuate at least one of the pressure supply units and the steering actuator and/or, to implement a braking command during normal operation, to actuate at least the second pressure supply unit and at least the brake pressure adjustment valves for a wheel-specific pressure adjustment and, in a fault case, to actuate at least the first pressure supply unit and at least the brake pressure adjustment valves for a wheel-specific pressure adjustment.

A device for a hydraulic actuating system, e.g., a motor vehicle brake, a clutch or a gear selector, may include the following components arranged in one housing, forming a main module: at least one pressure supply device driven by an electric motor drive, and a valve arrangement comprising at least one solenoid valve. The device may further include an electrical control unit (ECU) and valve output stages and sensors. The main module may be electrically and/or hydraulically connected to at least one further system component, which system component may include and actuating device and a travel simulator.

A device for a hydraulic actuating system, e.g., a motor vehicle brake, a clutch or a gear selector, may include the following components arranged in one housing, forming a main module: at least one pressure supply device driven by an electric motor drive, and a valve arrangement comprising at least one solenoid valve. The device may further include an electrical control unit (ECU) and valve output stages and sensors. The main module may be electrically and/or hydraulically connected to at least one further system component, which system component may include and actuating device and a travel simulator.

A brake system includes two brake circuits having brake circuit lines for two vehicle axles and at least one hydraulic wheel brake in each brake circuit. Each wheel brake is connectable to a corresponding brake circuit or brake circuit line via a paired switch valve for pressure build-up and release in the wheel brake using a pressure supply device that can build up pressure in both brake circuits. At least one circuit separating valve blocks or releases a hydraulic connection line connecting the two brake circuits. At least one outlet valve connects an accumulator container to at least one brake circuit to release pressure. A master cylinder having only one working chamber is actuable by a brake pedal. The working chamber is connectable to the brake circuit line of a brake circuit. A switch valve is used to close or release the hydraulic line.

A brake system for a vehicle has at least two hydraulic brake circuits, each with at least one hydraulically acting wheel brake, and a switching valve on each hydraulically acting wheel brake, which switching valve connects in each case one hydraulically acting wheel brake to one of the two brake circuits. The brake system also has a central outlet switching valve which brings about a switchable hydraulic connection between at least one of the brake circuits and a reservoir vessel, wherein the reduction in pressure in the at least one hydraulically acting wheel brake is effected by opening the central outlet switching valve and the associated switching valve.

A vehicle axle may include hydraulically operating wheel brakes and/or additional hydraulic loads, such as clutch plate cylinders. The vehicle axle may include at least one pressure supply device, driven by an electric-motor drive, to control pressure in the wheel brakes; at least one control and regulating device; a valve assembly having values for setting wheel-specific brake pressures and/or for disconnecting/connecting the wheel brakes from/to the pressure supply device, and at least one electric drive motor for driving and braking a vehicle wheel or the axle. At least one pressure supply device is used to control the pressure of and/or provide pressure to at least one additional brake unit in the form of an electric parking brake, a hydraulically supported electromechanical brake, an electromechanical brake and/or a force-supporting steering device, a gear actuator and/or transmission actuator, and/or a torque vectoring module.

A vehicle brake system may include: two hydraulic brake circuits, each having at least one hydraulically operating wheel brake; first and second pressure supply devices; at least one valve assembly for adjusting the brake pressure for each wheel individually and/or for separating/connecting the wheel brakes from/to at least one of the pressure supply devices; at least one electronic control and regulating unit; and a hydraulic connection line connecting the two brake circuits. Each wheel brake is paired with a dedicated switch valve, and each brake circuit has a hydraulic main line via which the switch valves may be connected to the pressure supply devices. The connection line has two connection switch valves connected in series and open when unenergized via pressure present in the respective hydraulic main line and/or an inner section of a connection line connecting two connections of the connection switch valves directly together.

A brake system may include a first pressure supply unit having an electromotive drive and arranged to supply pressure medium to first and second brake circuits; a motor-pump unit to supply pressure medium to at least one of the brake circuits; a second pressure supply unit, connected to the motor-pump unit via first and second hydraulic lines and arranged to supply pressure medium to at least one of the brake circuits; and a valve unit. The second pressure supply unit may be connected via a third hydraulic line to at least one of the brake circuits. The valve unit may include at least one feed valve via which the third hydraulic line may be at least partially reversibly shut off. An isolating valve may be disposed in at least one of the hydraulic lines to at least partially reversibly shut off the at least one hydraulic line.

An actuating device for an entirely or partially hydraulic vehicle braking system includes a master brake cylinder with a piston and a working chamber hydraulically connectable to a reservoir, a pedal feel simulator, and, via at least one normally open valve, at least one brake circuit. At least one hydraulic wheel brake is assigned to a brake circuit and connected thereto via at least one separate controllable switching valve. A pressure supply unit has a motor-driven piston and a cylinder. At least one valve assembly includes wheel-specific solenoid pressure control valves. At least one electrical control unit controls valves of the valve assembly and the motor of the pressure supply unit. Outlet valves enable discharge of hydraulic medium from wheel brakes or brake circuits into the reservoir. One housing contains the valve assembly and hydraulic component of the pressure supply unit, and a separate housing contains the master brake cylinder.
