An integrated imaging and device deployment platform and method may include a catheter, at least one imaging unit, at least one deployment unit, and at least one device configured to be deployed by the at least one deployment unit. The integrated imaging and device deployment platform facilitates improved navigation and deployment of a therapeutic or medical device by providing the at least one imaging unit proximate the deployment unit. Information generated from the at least one imaging unit may be utilized with additional imaging modalities to provide improved imaging and delivery of devices while reducing use of X-ray radiation and contrast injection.

The arms of the tissue gripping device are configured to resiliently flex toward a relaxed configuration in a distal direction as the tissue gripping device is moved from a pre-deployed configuration toward a deployed configuration. The tissue gripping device is usable in a method for gripping tissue. The method includes positioning the tissue gripping device near target tissue and moving the tissue gripping device from a pre-deployed configuration toward a deployed configuration in order to grip the target tissue.

A steerable guide catheter includes a tip ring at a distal end and one or more pullwires configured to engage with the tip ring when put in tension, the pullwire(s) thereby subjecting the steerable guide catheter to a curving or turning force. The tip ring includes a saddle and one or more pullwire channels allowing the pullwire to be looped over the saddle such that when the pullwire is placed under tension, it abuts against the saddle of the tip ring. Some embodiments include additional catheters axially aligned within or outside of the steerable guide catheter, and include a keying feature aligning the rotation of the multiple catheters. The keys of the keying feature can be formed of a polyamide with a glass microsphere filler, and can be thermally welded to the catheter.
